Sandy Semerad's latest thriller Carrie Sue Diary won a silver metal in the New York City Book Awards and is a finalists in the Book Excellence Awards. Also it has been an Amazon #1 Best Seller.
Sandy has been making up stories in her head ever she can remember. She was born in Geneva, Alabama, but earned a journalism degree from Georgia State University in Atlanta, where Carrie Sue's Diary and A Message in the Roses are set. Like protagonist Carrie Sue, Sandy has worked as a newspaper reporter and columnist. She has also been a model, makeup artist, broadcaster, news director and editor.
Her other novels include Sex, Love and Murder, set in New Orleans during Mardi Gras and Hurricane House, set in a Florida Fishing Village. They both feature a magical crystal necklace. Her third book, A Message in the Roses, is a love story, loosely based on a murder trial she covered as a newspaper reporter in Atlanta.
All four books come highly recommended.
Sandy now lives in Florida with husband Larry and Shih Poo Elvis. She has two daughters, Rene and Andrea and a grand daughter Cody. When not writing the stories in her head, she's writing songs with Larry, an accomplished pianist and keyboard player.
