The First Indochina War was the Indochinese People against the French colonists and their American supporters and suppliers. The Second Indochina War is perhaps better known as the Vietnam War, and it was the Indochinese People against the Americans and their allies. That resulted in the defeat of the Allied forces and their complete withdrawal from all of SE Asia. The third Indochinese war was when the Vietnamese Army invaded Cambodia and removed the murderous government of Pol Pot. This book is lengthy in that it contains over 130,500 words and twelve photographs. Two of these photos are in colour, with the remainder being monochrome. To have better readability, much of the book is written as a story around the facts. It is still wholly factual. You will find many direct quotes from people including: R Menzies (a former PM of Australia) Malcolm Frazer (Former PM of Australia), John F. Kennedy (former US president), Dwight Eisenhower (former US President), Richard Nixon (Former US vice president and later President of USA), General Westmoreland (US), Ho Chi Minh (President of Democratic Republic of Vietnam), General Vo Nguyen Giap (Democratic Republic of Vietnam) and many others. This book attempts to show the insane folly of war and highlights the fact that those who do the fighting tend to respect their enemies, not hate them.
