Lilian J. Gardner is a writer of fiction and children’s stories. She loves writing and wrote stories
early on, she made small handmade booklets of exercise paper to give to her friends.
Lilian enjoys writing in most genres of fiction.
She was happily married for sixty years and was widowed five years back.
To compensate for the loss of her late husband, Lilian is a member of a voluntary group of
retirees who offer their skills to the community. Lilian is a professional teacher and teaches
English twice a week to retired citizens who did not learn the language at school.
Lilian lives in a small town in the Veneto region in the lowlands of the Po delta.
She has many interests and is always busy with club members’ activities and social gatherings,
lunches, dinners, meetings, etc. Lilian has two sons and a grandson who lives near her and
visits her often. She lost her beloved cat recently and is reluctant to get another one because of
family problems.
Lilian weaves her stories from snatches of factual happenings but creates fictionalised places
and events to complete them
