Elf Ahearn, yes, that is her real name, lives in New York with her wonderful husband and two exceptionally adorable kittens (They're technically cats, but who's counting.). Together the felines perform important roles in the process of creating Elf's signature "Regency romance with a gothic twist" novels. How? One gazes fondly at the writer (romance) while the other demands treats, playtime, and food by threatening to knock breakable objects onto the floor (gothic). Before becoming a novelist, Elf spent 20 years in Manhattan working as a salary-free actress in nearly 100 productions. From that lucrative career, she jumped to journalism (slightly more profitable than acting), and then to corporate communications where she finally made some money and garnered multiple awards. Her novel, A Rogue in Sheep’s Clothing hit #1 in its genre on Amazon, and bless its heart, has been consistently selling ever since.
