D K McLaughlin formerly worked in Molecular Genetics and Genomics at Wake Forest University School of Medicine, and a licensed massage therapist at night. But writing is her first love and now does it fulltime. In the author’s own words, “who wouldn’t love reading a steamy romance novel, with handsome alpha men and in interesting geographic locations? I know I do.” She began writing fiction as an adolescent while living in Kumasi, Ghana, West Africa with her parents and siblings. Her earliest inspiration was the novel, Lorna Doone, by RD Blackmore who she discovered while being homeschooled in Ghana. A few of her current favorite authors are Nora Roberts, IT Lucas, and Olivia Thorn. She writes from North Carolina where she lives with her own handsome alpha husband.
