C.R. Daems was born in Chicago, Illinois. While he always had a vivid imagination, he didn’t begin writing until much later in life. He graduated from the University of Arizona and went on to serve for 22 years in the Air Force.

Upon completing his military service, he worked as a software engineer, course developer, and adjunct professor. Daems has worn many different hats throughout his career, to say the least! Throughout his life, Daems has always been a huge fan of science fiction and fantasy novels. However, he never really considered himself a writer and didn’t work much at it. That was until at the age of 70 he co-wrote his first novel with Jeanne Tomlin, ‘The Talon of the Raptor Clan’.
