Alan E. (Al) Strunk experiences life in New Orleans' French Quarter in the mid-1980s after receiving a MFA in Theater from Tulane University. He serves as Production Manager at the Saenger Performing Arts Center and the La Petit Theatre du Vieux Carre. He is the author of the historical novel "Pacific Sail" and the non-fiction journal "Quarantine Quickies – Pandemic in Paradise." His flash fiction piece “Memory Trap” appears in the October 2021 issue of the e-zine Loud Coffee. He is a monthly feature contributor to The Sea Scoop, a private print magazine for local mobile home owners. Raised on California’s central coast among a diversity of hard-working peoples living in awe of nature he learns to love where he lives by leaving it. After forty years of wandering he returns home to the seaside village of Los Osos on California's Central Coast. French Market Mayhem is his first detective novel.
